Fight for Your Right to Buy Minimally Processed Pet Food

Owners should have the right to choose what they feel is best for their pets without bureaucratic regulations that reduces nutrient value in the food and have a track record of making it less safe.

It is important that we are allowed to feed our dogs raw and minimally processed food by small family and independent companies for the health and wellness of our Service Dogs and all dogs.

I support consumers right to choose what type of food to feed their pets without over regulations by the government.

My cats all ate raw food for over 8 years until the manufacturer of their cat food was forced to shut down, due to financial problems, after the FDA forced them to recall all of their food. As far as I know, not one consumer had ever complained about any of their food. In fact, I am in several Facebook groups, with thousands of members, who had nothing but good things to say about the food. My female cat's diabetes went in to remission while she was on it and it was the only thing that helped her IBD. I ended up having to put her down shortly after the FDA, basically, put that company out of business. I believe my cat would still be alive today if not for the FDA's targeting of raw pet food. If it has been safe for this long, why would they want to change it... oh wait, money. Money is more important then health... I get it.

Big government get off our back! I want the option of buying minimally processed foods for myself and my animals. That is what freedom truly is.

commerical pet foods are filled with junk and have made my older cat very sick please allow us to choose what we feed them not controlled by major commerical industry!

Thanks for spearheading this important fight for our rights. The government needs to pay attention to infrastructure, climate change, education and stay out of right to serve fresh, wholesome foods to our pets instead of the big corporate garbage.

My dogs have flourished eating a commercial raw food diet.

I have been raw feeding my dogs for 30 years without any negative incidents...I saw nothing but positive results...

The raw, species appropriate diet is the only way to go. The dogs are healthier and live longer, happy lives. I have researched this for years and had many dogs along the way. Feeding raw or minimally processed has not only saved the lives and health of our animals, but has saved us a lot of money for vet bills and medicine. The move to control this market is unwarranted and certainly about profit margins and not animals. We should have the right to intelligently choose what we feel and know about the care and feeding of our animals. We don't go to the market and buy bird seed for our family, why would we feed processed grain to our dogs. For those undecided, do your research and take the time to make the right choice. Don't let government take your rights away.
