We demand safe and clean streets on the Upper West Side

Please keep the Upper West Side safe from criminal elements.

The situation needs to be remedied as soon as possible.

Get them out of our neighborhood.

Why weren’t we notified by city agencies about this?

In 1989, all of these hotels were SROs with people of questionable character. Now here we are so many years later and this Mayor wants to put us back in the good old days of Needle Park. What is wrong with him. We must fight against this scourge. Anyone who supports this type of action will never get my vote. Where is Gayle Brewer?

One of the reasons I moved to the UWS was because of how safe it felt - I no longer have that feeling, and I do not want to live that way.

Please save the Upper West Side, Mr Mayor. Don't take us back to the time when one could not walk on Amsterdam or Columbus Avenues.

I want them gone. Every one of them. Our landmark buildings have been bought out by who? Shimmie Horn? Disgraceful to turn a good neighborhood into a dirty slum. I ask again and again..what about the other boroughs?? Do I have to name all of them. Tons of space..why put them here in the middle of our neighborhood. I couldn't hate you more. If you're a non-profit...I wouldn't give you a dollar.

Please don't take the UWS back four decades

This is dangerous and unhealthy for our community. I never realized how important it is to vote for the right people. I hope we have all learned an important lesson
