I am not opposed to housing homeless people on the Upper West Side, but I draw the line at sex offenders and drug addicts!

The state of the UWS is pitiful and has been for years. This is the icing on the cake.

We do not want the neighborhood to turn back to the dangerous way it was in the early 1970’s !!!

Please help stop these constant conversions, which are also happening in the West 90s near Riverside Drive and West End with little warning.

More homeless should come with more police protection for residents of the uws. And also extra care and rehabilitation for the drug addicted homeless.

We are residents of the Upper West Side. The neighborhood is becoming not safe. It is not fair to put drug addicts and homeless people in our area without residents’ consent.

Truly I sad mess. Yesterday I was on 79th & Broadway and could not believe how many homeless looking men were all congregating everywhere. Most appeared to be high on something or drunk

The streets of the uws do not feel safe any more. Many homeless men try to engage with my child in offensive ways, the streets in the area are lined with homeless men who are dirty, often shirtless, and have a scarey, unsanitary, and dirty element to them. It feels like a very different place.

Never did I think our family would consider leaving the city but if things don’t shape up sooner than later, you’re going to have a lot more joining this mass exodus out of the city. I don’t feel safe with my middle schooler on the street alone anymore. That’s a sad reality. Clean our streets please.
