All I see are single men lurking on the streets with nothing to do. Its become dangerous to even take a walk.

You must Vet better. It is dangerous for the residents of the Hotels too. There are many families in need of a home. Help us all be safe. Everyone will benefit

Hi Maria! Homelessness rates are going up because we are currently in a recession. Hotels are going out of business because there are no tourists in nyc because of covid. Hotels, therefore, are housing homeless people and receiving money from the government for doing so. If anything, these homeless people being housed will help decrease homelessness as they can start to get back on their feet with a bed to sleep in. All of NY isn’t UWS and homeless people aren’t evil. The best way to stop crime is for communities to come together and lift people up, not shut people out.

We pay huge taxes only to put up with this? Let the guy in Gracie Mansion with the limo and tons of space help the homeless in his backyard!

Agreed with other comments about feeling highly stressed and threatened by this situation. I've had inappropriate comments yelled at me while simply trying to walk home. Please fix this situation so that I can feel safe in my own neighborhood.

This is dangerous. We need to feel safe when we walk on the street.

I feel highly stressed and threatened by this decision. I want to keep the safety of the neighborhood for my son. Please place the institution somewhere else.

I am a native UWSer, born and raised here. My parents still liv e here as well. Ive seen NY and what it was like in the 60’s and 70’s with all the crime and homelessness and dont want to see it going back there again!
