After 50 years on the UWS, I am thinking of moving. de Blasio and the Democratic party is responsible for the deterioration of NYC in general.

This is unacceptable and if we need to march outside in front of city hall we should do so!

It's out of control. We have more than our share in the UWS.

This MUST be dealt with. Homeless is one thing… Violence/sex offenders/ are another.

I want to feel safe - and I want my teenage daughters to feel safe - in my neighborhood that I pay a lot of money to live in.

My family is out of town and we’re scared to come back when things are like this. We’re thinking of leaving the city altogether and taking our tax dollars with us if this is how it’s going to be going forward, as it’s not safe for our kids. De Blasio is an incompetent fool, but why are other city leaders permitting the destruction of the last 25 years’ worth of investment in this city?

Hearing these residents were moved from West 51st Street after “things didn’t work out in the community.” What is required for another move to occur? Do we need more attention from the press? I’m confident that there are influential members of the community on this post that have experience with creating change in NYC. The petition is a first step but how can we use our resources to push back against the deterioration of a neighborhood? I called the shelters today and they confirmed there is no end date or talk or relocation.

The density of 500 homeless around 79th St, especially 283 substance abusers at the Lucerne Is putting the UWS neighborhood and the Lucerne addicts at risk for catching the Covid virus. Many are not wearing masks outdoors. I would reduce the Lucerne population to under 100 as soon as possible and then transfer all the addicts to a safer environment by November 30.
