The UWS has now become one of the most unsafe neighborhoods in the city.

The crime on the UWS is horrible and I am growing very concerned for my family. This neighborhood is known as a family neighborhood, why would you send known sex fenders to an area where there so many children??

Already crimes are being committed by unvetted residences of these hotels. I love the city and the unthought out implementation of this plan is causing residents to leave the city. Please this must be responsibly done.

I live on W. 81st St. and a homeless person magically made his way into the vestibule of my building last week pretending to be delivering a package to my building. I am disgusted by the actions of Helen Rosenthal and I do not support turning my neighborhood into a haven for homeless shelters and people with criminal backgrounds, etc. Get rid of these shelters.. This is the last thing we need right now during this pandemic. Screw you Helen Rosenthal, you are disgusting. I think that pretty much sums it up but I know no one will do anything to get rid of these shelters

broadway between 79th and 80th St is appallingly filthy, with broken glass bottles from alcohol, soda & beer cans and papers strewn all over. With all these extra folks, we need garbage collection!!!

Truly disturbing and sad- communities and the neighborhood is being unduly impacted due to poor decisions and thoughtless “quick fixes”. Not sure why anyone debating to return or remain in the UWS would be compelled to with these recent developments.

We need to relocate this population. It is adding to our public and mental health crisis. Basic safety is at risk

How about Trump Tower? Or some place on East 79th street? Who doesn't like "new neighbors"?

Safety for the residents of this neighborhood needs to be prioritized. I support this petition.
