Not a resident of UWS, but appalled by conditions there and elsewhere in the city. We need safe streets.

It is a travesty to the neighborhood to have drug addicts and sex offenders staying so close to a children’s playground. Please, please help us all. Thank you.

In what world does it make sense to pay $175/person/day to house homeless people!? It’s an egregious abuse of tax payer money.

We want safety for our kids
Why is city spending 175$ per hour to host sex offenders and drug addicts next to the school

we have worked hard to make money to pay for our very expensive homes so that we (our families... Children) can live in a safe environment. This choice is driving even more out of nyc. Stupid, unsafe, unfair.

I am appalled by the lack of measures taken to ensure the safety of the upper west side residents. One of the things I loved most when I moved to the UWS was how safe I felt compared to the rest of the city. Now, I am scared to leave my street with doormen on it.

I live in the sutton area and DeBlasio did the same thing in the hotel bentley on 62nd and York. We are all scared and whoever is left in the area is either moving away or staying out of the city.

My fiancé and I moved from Hell’s Kitchen as she was constantly cat called there and harassed and even followed by local homeless who were active users. We moved to UWS, but now find the exact same behavior taking place where she is unable to go out alone at risk of the same behavior which was demonstrated several times already since the mass influx into the Lucerne.

DiBlasio congratulations. You have officially taken our beloved city and turned it into an unsafe slum. Way to go.

The safety of children and the elderly should always come first.
