Picking these three hotels, so close to one another, is an unfair burden on this small section of the neighborhood.

This needs to be taken care of immediately. You cannot expect people to pay exorbitant rents and mortgages with the neighborhood in shambles.

A shining star location is left in ruins because no one in NYC government cares enough to help the poor people on the streets nor the residents who pay taxes.

So glad this is being done. Our solid thriving UWS community is being destroyed by uncaring politicians.

Relocation without proper rehabilitation is negligent and dangerous

To allow this to happen making the upper west side dangerous it has to stop. It will happen everywhere.

Moving these men out of shelters to avoid covid19 tinto these hotels then letting them out on the streets like animals is ridiculous.

I have lived on the Uws for 10 years and what the city is doing to our neighborhood is despicable.

With COVID, the owners of these hotels must have felt the financial need to fill their hotels asap. Did they have to apply to certain city agencies to arrange for occupancy by this shelter population? Why didn't our elected officials have a say in approving this? There are shelter situations on the UWS that work. What broke down here?

This is outrageous. As a mom with three small children, we are considering leaving.
