This city I grew up & was raised in is becoming a dystopian society. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Defunding the police is NOT the answer. Police reform YES, defund NO. Life long politicians in NYC has to go!!!!!! You should be graded on "JOB PERFORMANCE" like every other job is. SET TERM LIMITS.

Do your job Project Renewal! Do your job Steven Banks! Do your job Erin Drinkwater! Separate the men and women who are on their way to recovery from those that are in need of serious mental health intervention. Thrive NYC should be focused less on elimination of "stigma" of mental illness and more on treatment for those who are seriously ill and in need.

We pay a premium to live here and not see poor people. Or people with problems. How dare the city place them in our view? They should move these “people” to poor neighborhoods where they will Blend in!!!!! I don’t care if the whole city is helping out with over-crowded shelters, I pay 8K in rent! Monthly! Our rights as rich, mostly white Americans are being violated and I, for one, will not stand for it.

The city’s solution is ruining the neighborhood and NOT helping those in need.

It is unfair that we are paying so much money to live with those who should be institutionalized. We did not even have a vote on this matter. There are plenty of less dense and less EXPENSIVE areas in this city and this country where these people could be placed. They need full-time supervision and are not getting it. I think many of them are simply the criminals who were emptied out of prison with no where to go. So we, who pay so much to the city in taxes, are being forced to live with criminals.

Have been living on upper west almost 36 years. Bellclaire used to be an “SRO” DUMP. then hotel was cleaned and refurbished. We had tourists, airline personnel for a “lay over” and folks who just wanted to stay in town for the night. Now: de Blah Blah Blah sio has created a dangerous and disgusting environment to live. These people stink, smell and probably bugs. The mayor had no clue about his job. And that goes for the wife as well Wouldn’t vote for her either. Why doesn’t she run with Kanye in the “Birthday” party. Dumb and dumber.
