There are DAILY scary stories of aggressive encounters in broad daylight. this is cruel tortutr for women and elderly - taxpayers who are funding this atrocity, who are now afraid to walk in the street

We need elected officials who put law enforcement and public safety first.

Stop the use of the Watson Hotel on 57th street as a homeless shelter. There is human faces on the street and lots of drugs.

Get the pedophiles, drug addicts and homeless people out of the UWS! It's unsafe for our children and the elderly as we have many schools, parks, and elderly homes here! Place them on Governor's Island if you must! It's not safe or fair to us and our once safe neighborhood!!!

I don't like seeing half-naked men lying on the sidewalk with dirty toes, or lurking around in the local liquor store. Both incidents happened recently.

I have seen a significant deterioration. The streets are a mess. Riverside park has had an increase in garbage, broken bottles, masks etc. Even though park employees are great. Also lots of gathering in the streets and under scaffolding plus loud music. I initially did not know what was going on.

I attempted to report to the NYPD a man masturbating in the park by the Museum of Natural History and was turned away because I didn't get a picture of the man (he hopped on a bike when he saw me get my camera). Multiple packages have been stolen from my building on W. 78th. I have lived in the UWS since 2009. The NYPD has given up - they are not policing the area now that nearly 700 homeless people (including addicts and sex offenders) have been deposited in this neighborhood. Shame on Mayor De Blasio and the NYPD.
