As of the past 2 weeks, I’ve become afraid to live in my home of the past 25 years. It’s a very scary situation that’s happened here in our neighborhood.

Not signing this against the homeless, but the drug dealers and murderers exploiting the situation. Do something Bill D!

I was born and raised on the upper west side, am a lifelong Democrat and have spent the bulk of my career in not for profit and public health. What is happening here is a disgrace. You are setting these homeless men and women up to fail and are putting thousands of school aged children at risk. What you are doing is unconscionable and I am signing this petition to bring it to an immediate halt.

Our mayor is once again showing he’s ill equipped to run the city

My children and now grandchildren grow up on West side. We arrive there in 1978 and it was a really dangerous neighborhood. Things changed tremendously and now Our Mayor and his helpers are trying to destroy it again. You have a lot of empty hotels located at the airport where you can place all homeless for much lesass money you spend placing them on Upper West side/which by the way total comes to almost 450 US $ for each person. / And what about this hospital you build where there are no patients??? Why not to place them there and provide the medical help and supervision they desperately need

Get these people the services they need. Warehousing them is not a solution.

I support clean and safe housing for the homeless. However the city has fallen short of providing this community the support necessary to help people with mental illness and drug addiction, and it shows. Please send help.

Proper oversight would eliminate suspicion and fear. The city needs to assign permanent daily monitors to patrol area and intervene when behavior of homeless men is threatening. Putting a large number of recovering addicts in one area without safe guarding area residents is unconscionable

Warren Wilhelm Jr. (Bill De Blasio) - You can deny this all you want, but at the end of the day, it is you, as mayor of NYC, who needs to clean this up. The people living in these hotels (of which you’ve have been linked to knowing the hotel owners - Hmmm let’s think about that one for a minute???), drinking alcohol in public, doing drugs in public, urinating in public...all in front of children, families, etc. needs to be cleaned up by YOU. Be the voice and LEAD your police force to do the right thing. The right thing is clearly not allowing these criminals to be put up in hotels in the upper west side, or any other neighborhood for that matter, and run the streets doing whatever they please. CLEAN IT UP AND DO WHATS RIGHT!!!
