Prayers for the family.. Never invade a persons personal space You never know what to expect when you see an unknown person in your home, vehicle or anywhere... I'm sure the family is going through a lot already with supporting there mom in her time of need.. Blessings to you all!

The point you are trying to make is totally understood. However, this petition is not only to seek due process, but also to help shape the law. The goal is to change the "stand your ground law." If the would-be suspect had his own gun and the scenario was so different that he killed Raheem, then what? How do we prevent these types of cases? If Georgia can pass a bill allowing weapons on campus for "safety" how can Raheem not maintain safety by taking the action he felt necessary? So many people lose their lives for fear of being killed or killing someone because they fear the law would not deem their actions justifiable. So what do we do?

This justice system is a perfect example of injustice. It's a cycle of revenue for the government and it's sad that they have to deprive our people of their rights in order to maintain their revenue. #FREERAHEEM

While I totally hope this guy receives a fair trial, I think it is absurd to compare this to Zimmerman in anyway. First off, Ga and FL have totally different laws. The problem here is that in Ga you cannot use deadly force to protect property. Stand your ground applies to one fighting for his life, not for material possession. It's unfortunate that the law is written thus way but I just want people to understand their rights. Unfortunately if someone is stealing your belingings, you can't legally shoot them. Best wishes to this guy. Let's not let this go in vain. Each one teach one. Know your rights before tragic occurs.

I really hope the justice system see that he was actually protecting what's his.. So many times we see where the shoe was on the other foot; and the thieves end up killing the person who owns the property. He did what he had to do..
