We received special services when our son, who has Asperger Syndrome, was young. It was a tremendous help! The cost of these services can not be measured in money. It is measured in the progress these kids made as they mature and grow into contributing adults in society. Texas Legislature, loosen your hands on your checkbooks!

These children have to have these therapies if they are to have any hope of growing into functional adults. People are always complaining about how expensive handicapped people are. Give the children the tools they need to avoid that fate and the chance to be able to take care of themselves when they are older. For profit companies generally only care about increasing profit. Poor people can't always afford help.
