Over the last ten years Final Fantasy XI, the first online massive multiplayer game in the Final Fantasy main series, has delighted and entertained hundreds of thousands of players across the world. From Rise of Zilart to the forthcoming Seekers of Adoulin, this cherished MMO have been hailed as some of the best story telling within all of the numbered FF series and countless players have invested years into exploring what is easily one of the most realized and deep worlds developed by SquareEnix. As the years move forward, however, it is inevitable that all good things come to an end: Final Fantasy XI has grown and continues to grow with time, but as Final Fantasy XIV comes into its own and the future of FFXI approaches a proud end -- many fear something beautiful may be lost forever. This petition is meant to bring notice to the desire for an offline, ad hoc version of the Final Fantasy XI experience rebalanced for 1-4 player co-operative gameplay on the Playstation Vita and/or Playstation 3/4 platforms. The brilliance of Vana'diel's design and story telling should not be lost to those who could continue to enjoy for years to come.
