In celebration of the upcoming centennial of Fenway Park, America's Beloved Ballpark. We the fans of the Boston Red Sox petitions Major League Baseball to award the 2012 MLB All-Star Game to the Boston Red Sox organization and the city of Boston. In light of this historic occasion for the city, no other candidate is far more qualified to host 2012 MLB All-Stars than Fenway Park and the city of Boston. The city's rich sporting and historic tradition, fan support as well as it's ability to host large scale events (i.e: 2001 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2004 Democratic National Convention) are proof that the Boston area are more than qualified to host. By letting Fenway Park host, it will enable fans of the game to enjoy and relieve moments past by celebrating such a historic milestone while looking forward to the future.
