I have lived in PDR since 1967. What do we have to do to get the City and County services that we deserve? Remember the 'Very Important' chain link fences on the beach to protect the Terns? We pay taxes, they don't.......

We pay county property taxes and deserve to have our properties protected. In past years the berm is only constructed if there is an actual storm likely to flood homes. This means that county money will be spent only iif actually needed.

I've lived in Playa del Rey for over 13 years, 11 of those on the sand on Trolleyway Street. I've seen the damage even minimal flooding can do to the houses that are basically at sea level. Not building the berm in what experts are unanimously predicting to be a record setting El Nino is not only a huge mistake, but fails the residents of our beach community.

The trailer park at Dockweiler is budgeted for a berm but homeowners get no protection and we foot the majority of the taxes that go towards the public Beach up keep???
