The berm is needed to protect our homes, the bike path that so frequently is flooded in the winter months and mostly peace of mind for all involved.

You need to have been here in 1983 to see houses with 18 " of water. The condos at the south end of Trolleyway had the garages fill with water as the pumps could not keep up with the storm deposits/. People had to relocate as there homes were beyond liveability

The area protected by the berm has flooded before due to high surf. It would be insane not to build one this year with El Niño looming because it has almost flooded many times during non El Niño years.

This is going to be a big surf year and we need the berm to protect Playa del Rey. We deal with wildlife and boats washing onto shore from weather and changing water conditions and deal with it gladly. This should be simple.

We absolutely need the berm! No reasonable person would oppose protecting the Playa del Rey beach, the people who live there, and their homes. The water came dangerously close to homes just last year.

I oppose building the berm. It's been four decades since these berms were actually necessitated by the ocean. So it is a waste of tax psyer funds, and it is an eye sore. People pay huge sums to have an ocean view!! Please do not block it with unnecessary berms.

absolutely ludicrous that the berm will not be constructed in, what is expected to be, a El Nino year. All we need is high surf, high tide (oh yah, our sewers don't drain during incoming tide) and no berm and we have the ocean in our homes. Lets spend the money on fireworks instead.
