Good food is essential for the moral of students. Meals time for students allows them time to take a break and relax. Providing quality meals ensures students get essential nutrients, proteins, energy, vitamins and minerals (which doesn't happen when they go hungry due to under-cooked or inedible food) . Good food significantly lowers stress levels during a time when there is constant stress with classes and studying. And, a good meal, like mamma used to make, brings back good memories.

Food in the 90s was delicious and brag-worthy. I had no idea until now how much this had changed. It's uncalled for! We should have brag worthy food again.

SBC can provide a real model for farm to table locally sourced food for students and staff. Absolutely the way to go for health and Eco-sustainability!

I had to send a extra $400.00 a month for food after my daughter got sick from eating under cooked chicken. And said the food was awful

Bring back the good food that we had when I attended from 89-93. Time to get back on yet another "best" list again with the new and improved Sweet Briar.

Good food and visiting with sister students is definitely a big part of college life. When I was at SBC my part-time job was being a waitress. Maybe this can return so students have more options to make money.

New board and president of SBC are smart enough to figure this out. Of course good, healthy food at wonderful Sweet Briar.!! maybe in the old pretty Refectory again for a while and close that huge Prothro building for a while to save money on heating, air conditioning, cleaning and all, .

The food they feed our children in 2012,2013,2014 were horrible. EXCEPT WHEN THEY EXPECTED VISTORS. The student's would buy their food some where eles.It upset parents all that money we pay for food on Campus but still had to send money to the daughter for food because they had little or nasty food on Campus. How's nice a farm to table would be.

Virginia Tech down the road. Voted #3 in the country by The Daily Meal. Cooking meals from scratch is the way to go. http://www.dining.vt.edu/menu_nutrition/menus_nutrition.html

I am concerned about what I've heard re: Aramark. Our students need healthy, sanitary food that is properly prepared.

I recently researched Aramark and found that many of their clients are airlines and prisons. I've never experienced prison food, but I would hate to have to live on airline food. Surely Sweet Briar women deserve better than that.
