I purchased back to school clothes for my two children just last week. My total was $250. I have already removed the tags and washed them to prepare for school starting so will no longer be able to return them.

I was raised if you have nothing nice to say then don't say it! So I'm trying to stay tight lipped over this but pisses me off the example our board is setting for our children and the great expenses they are causing parents because they are in capable of performing there job on the board! Need all new board members get the politics out enough damage has been done in the 8 years I've been here and it keeps getting worse!

you should not change things at the last minute people have already gone out and bought their children's clothes for the school year

The dress code issue was ultimately an epic disaster put in motion by your board members. As a parent, the confusion set forth was ridiculous.

I havent bought them any clothes yet for this very reason. Please let them wear blue jeans. How would that harm them.

Absolutely ridiculous to change the uniform once again, especially a week before school. I have 2 kids that now need a whole new wardrobe. I simply cannot afford that! $200 later I'm just screwed! School board should be very ashamed!

I think this last minute change should have been decided before anything was said in the first place

We were so excited to hear that the dress code had been changed bc we have 4 kids who ALL needed new school clothes this year. It is SO MUCH cheaper to buy just reg solid color shirts and jeans than to pay for over priced uniforms. So to have it changed the DAY BEFORE reg was such a let down. There are many parents that bought, rebought and now buying again because the board cannot make up their minds. This is just ridiculous! I cannot speak for everyone but I am not rich, I cannot afford to re-buy their clothes!

You should have made a concrete choice before telling everyone that jeans and collarless shirts were acceptable. Everyone went and purchased what you told us we could buy. To make that announcement, with even the slightest possibility of change, was foolish. There is only a week until school. How are you going to try to punish parents and students for your own faults?

Again Fayette County Schools.....you are still operating in the 1980's .....Are we preparing our students for life or prison? Be informed and make a decision and stick with it.

This is a reasonable request due to your mistake. You shouldn't have told us false information. You want kids to own their mistakes, you need to remedy yours.
