Fel cefnogwyr sydd wedi dilyn tîm pêl-droed cenedlaethol Cymru mewn ysbryd ac yn gorfforol yn ystod y misoedd diwethaf anhygoel, a'r blynyddoedd llai anhygoel, gofynnwn i Gymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru i wrthod yn gwrtais ac yn breifat unrhyw wahoddiad a wnaed gan y frenhiniaeth Brydeinig yn ôl ein llwyddiant diweddar. Ni chwaraeodd y sefydliad hwn unrhyw ran mewn creu llwyddiant y tîm, ac felly mae ei gymeradwyaeth yn ddiangen ac yn amhriodol, ac ni ddylent gael yr hawl i ddefnyddio'r digwyddiad ar gyfer eu dibenion cyhoeddusrwydd ei hun, yn groes i ddymuniadaur llawer iawn o gefnogwyr.

Rydym yn dîm sy'n mwynhau adnoddau yn llawer llai nag eraill, ond un sydd wedi cael ei hedmygu a'i ddathlu ledled y byd ar ôl ein hymdrechion dros yr ychydig fisoedd diwethaf. Rydym yn teimlo bod y gwerthfawrogiad o bobl yw'r anrhydedd pwysig a pharhaol.

As fans that have followed the Welsh national football team both in spirit and in person over the last few (incredible) months and (not-so-incredible) years, we ask that the Football Association of Wales politely and privately decline any invitation made by the British Royal Family in light of our recent success.

We feel that this type of event and "rubber-stamping" of our achievement by an institution that has had little to do it's bringing about would be unnecessary.

We are a team that has neither enjoyed the benefits nor riches that others might , yet we have been admired and celebrated throughout the world for our efforts over the last few months. We feel that this should be the ultimate and lasting honour.

Diolch!

Seeing one thousand signatures on this petition tells me that I am definitely not alone in how I feel about our team. It means so much to know that so many other fans want our success to remain ours without being used for someone else's publicity.

The momentum behind this request proves that the heart of our team belongs to the people who actually stood on the terraces through the rain and the losses. Seeing so many of you echo this sentiment reminds me why we need to keep the focus on the players and the fans alone.

A royal reception with the English royal family serves no purpose other than for their self validation. Please don't besmirch our memories of a wonderful Euro 2016 by indulging such self promotion with their empty platitudes

Apart from being a republican the reason I've signed this is that we've always done our thing without any help or backing from the Windsors - in fact they wished England well before the championships - it's an insult to Wales and the fans

Please say no. You have shown the world that Wales is a strong, independent and capable nation. Let's not shatter that illusion by saying 'actually, we feel really gratified when England acknowledges what we've done'.

Where were they before this success? The people who mattered gave the team a reception on Friday and throughout this and every tournament. No glory hunters please,we don't need the English royals to say "good show old boy". Charles' sons showed their allegiances for England prior to the tournament .

The royal family are band wagon jumpers, never bothered with us before. As someone who has followed Wales for 40+ years through mostly bad times I urge you not to accept any invitation now that we've finally hit the god times.

What exactly do the Wales football team have to do with the royals? The English sing God save the queen, we sing Land of our Fathers, the players played for the land of their fathers and not the German/English royals.
