This would now be the only pub left in this community. It has been st the heart for many years and like many others I am totally against a change if use

Very historic public house. It should be retained as a hostelry.

It's a shame it couldn't be run by the community. There is a village pub called 'The Raven' in Llanarmon yn Ial, North Wales which is rented from the landlord and run by volunteers. It is now in its 10th year and is very successful. The villagers also bought the village shop and run that with volunteers alongside the pub.

I want to buy the Farmers arms and continue running as a village pub. Was devastated to see it has already been sold and planning for change of use applied for.

Great little pub. We can’t afford to lose this delightful eating and drinking house.

No public house should be permitted to close and even more so one that is an integral part of a community.

It is the hub of a lovely community and provides a friendly meeting place. It keeps the community communicating with one another.

Pub was dead before my mum bought it, a complete dive bar actually as seen before we renovated, so clearly you know nothing. My mum, the owner (Notice, no plural, she was the soul owner) was stuck in the kitchen 100% of the time so how can you even comment on her being approachable? She was too busy running the kitchen everyone loved as seen in this petitions comment to be the face of the business. In case you didn't realise, she was in their from 7am-10pm+ with no breaks on the days we were open, often alone. My mum is 60, how do you propose she was able to open the doors any more then she already did? Perhaps if a single person she hired as a cook had been willing to work she could of been, but people took advantage. The problem is your community (or lack thereof), if you don't support your local, it'll disappear, as seen in almost every business in your village

Loved this place! Loved chicken and chips in a basket as a kid and Gammon and real chips

Did you ever go to the Farmer's, Steve?

For all the negative and ill informed comments. If the previous owners had been approachable, friendly and compitant the farmers may not have been closed. It would have been supported. Actually, if it was ever open for longer than a few hours at a time it might have thrived. It was a thriving pub once and can be again.
