So much for equality which the OU policy goes by. Either 1% for vice chancellor or we all get 11%

an argument could me made for reducing this 11% to sommething smaller given his already large remuneration package, and awarding all other staff an above inflation award.

And with the information that he has been appointed as a UK Business Ambassador by the PM, says it all really, OU is now just another business like any other financial services business with fat cats getting fatter and no real concern for employees and even less for students. Money and numbers!!!

My family are really struggling, and we have gone into debt for the first time in 13 years. it is a kick in the face to see a colleague getting an 11% pay rise. This sends a clear message to the Open University community that OU staff are not appreciated. Three little words: Bleeding. Us. Dry.
