Concern that it is rapidly becoming clear that many staff are in danger of earning little more than the minimum wage for unsociable hours and a lack of appreciation of the skilled staff working at the OU.

I am an Associate Lecturer and the rates of pay for us normally, and when we do additional work as "Day Lecturers" has fallen seriously behind over recent years.

It's disgusting that the head honcho gets a huge payrise while us worker ants don't get anything considering that The Open University (or Hive, if you will) would crumble without us

Dismayed and disgusted by an 11% pay rise for Mr. Bean. We should be aiming at more equal societies and more equal organisations. Who made this award? They and Mr Bean should read "The Spirit Level" for the arguments.
