The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently announced its decision to cancel the 2020 Induction Ceremony. The COVID-19 pandemic had already prompted a 6-month postponement which has now become a full cancellation. Depeche Mode, Nike Inch Nails, T.Rex, Doobie Brothers, Notorious BIG, and Whitney Houston are among those to be honored and to perform or be celebrated on stage. Instead, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has cancelled this event but will plan to have a ceremony next year for the new 2021 inductees, skipping over the class of 2020. Not cool! Many fans have waited for the day their favorite artist would be inducted. Many fans have purchased tickets to attend the 2020 ceremony.
*This petition has been created to let fans express their disagreement with the Rock Hall’s decision AND to ask that the 2020 ceremony be scheduled for a later date prior to or in conjunction with the 2021 ceremony. Once completed this petition will be sent to the appropriate department at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I have been reading through your stories about what these artists mean to you and the frustration of having this moment taken away is clear. My inbox is full of messages from people who saved up for tickets and planned travel just to see their heroes honored. We deserve a proper celebration for the class of 2020 even if it looks a little different than originally planned.

Seeing this level of support reminds me why I spent so much time following these bands through the decades. It feels incredible to see so many of you refusing to let the 2020 class be forgotten by the Hall of Fame.

Depeche mode is a legendary and solid band.The best of all.They were finally inducted at the Rock and Roll hall of fame during this 2020 and they deserve a live honouring ,walking the red carpet and receiving this important induction rather than having a Tv special show. A devotee forever! Greetings from Lima,Peru.
Depeche mode finally is inducted, and they are denied their opportunity to celebrate the moment. If sports can have games without fans present you guys can do this show without fans.
An HBO special is not going to adequately express the true induction ceremony experience for the performers as well as the fans. It is not befitting the prestige that should be the RARHOF. Please reschedule and give the fans and performers what they ask for!
I have been a fan of inductees Depeche Mode for decades. Two friends and I purchased tickets to this year’s ceremony, airline tickets to Cleveland and booked a hotel. We were heartbroken when the ceremony was cancelled/postponed but were comforted by your promise that we’d be able to rebook for November. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I implore you to reconsider your decision and allow fans of the inductees the opportunity to be there when our favorite music-makers are recognized by the HOF. Thank you
I’ve waited years to see NIN and Depeche Mode get inducted. They finally do, and they still get screwed in the end. It’s a slap in the face to everyone who was inducted. Give them the proper induction they deserve! Even if it means being postponed again until a later date!
Let them have a ceremony, it’s wrong not to.
