Makes a world of a difference for us parents not to have to go in person when it can be over the phone and just as effective. Finding childcare can be really difficult , especially for those with multiples .

Your failure to poll agencies and/or parents doesn't surprise me. It never occurred to you to find out what would be in the best interest of parents and children. Shame on you!

Why are you taking an important choice away from parents? Even if Covid wasn't rising and around phone meetings are so much more efficient and easier for families than in-person meetings. How could you be so inconsiderate to working families?

If the Bureau(crazy) of Early Intervention actually made decisions in the best interest of children, it would not have unilaterally decided IFSP meetings must be held in person as of Aug. 15. If it cared about giving parents a choice, it would have offered both in person and remote meetings. If it cared about parents and families' health it would have offered a choice rather than simply and suddenly END phone meetings. There is nothing deficient about phone meetings, it's all in your head. Let those parents (a majority, if you actually polled anyone) who need phone meetings continue to have them.

Why must your office create extremes of "either in person or remote." Families are different, not everyone can leave work or take their children and supervise them during an in-person meeting. Ever thought of offering both in person and remote meetings? Then you could actually find out (i.e., make decisions based on FACTS) what percentage of parents = your clients - prefer remote/phone meetings versus in person meetings. Seems like you never considered parents' preferences, you just pretended Covid was over and parents' needs and wishes shouldn't be considered.

Phone conferences are extremely helpful for parents such as myself who have unpredictable schedules. It is often very hard to schedule a time to physically meet. If it weren’t for phone conferences I do not think I would have been able to get my sons their services.

Covid is still here, parents are still working, and you can't accomplish more in person than on phone. you'll be able to review more files if you keep it by phone. do you ever consider parents when you make these types of stringent, ad hoc decisions?
