we have rcentley bought a home at seven lakes and this would destroy the area, its is discusting, the area crowle etc is a beautiful area , isle of axholme that is idyllic with lots of beautiful surrounding countryside, many moreeople are becoming interested in this area I myself will be looking to move permanently to this area and apply for work and even have considered a new business in the area, why destroy something idyllic, too many places are being ruined

How did the waste station get passed we have not heard anything about this. We had this about waste station a few years ago. We don't need either. It strikes me if they can't get their own way re houses they will threaten us with something we don't want. Where's the consultation

And here we go again, we didn't want the wind farms and where tricked, we weren't even sure the 7 lakes was a good idea, but that development brought people and some money into the area. I thought there was already a "waste transfer station at Belton although I suppose we are talking waste on an industrial scale.
And do not be fooled with pretty scale models of tidy white buildings and a nice chimney. You will have stockpiles of waste, and with it the smells and polluted water run off. And what sort of waste???
Biological stuff from hospitals? It all goes in the mix. And if the furnace drops below a certain temperature some of the smoke becomes toxic . Where will the prevailing winds carry the potentially toxic fumes. You need a chimney stack about 300 feet high to do this job. What is it with north links council and other peoples rubbish? I'll bet not many people know that two or three trans a day come through Ealand with what appears to be containers on board. But these aren't shipping containers for export these are packed with compressed household waste from the greater Manchester area to be dumped in land fill over in the Winterton side. And up to 40 trucks a day during in German and Dutch plastic waste to be recycled at Hemswell Cliff near Caenby Corner.
Imagine that slap in the face to the brave bomber pilots and crews based at that former RAF station to realise despite their efforts Lincolnshire councils would be happy for German house hold waste to be dumped there 70 years later.
Fight this, and know you can't trust your councillors . Most have their own agenda. And will lie to you. Just as the last contributor stated you can't trust em!

As a former resident of Ealand I'm sure people are fed up of being not listened to & dumped on. After years of campaigning about the proposed wind-farm, to be told it won't be happening, so we stopped campaigning sure we had won, only for them to go ahead with it anyway!! Keep this campaign going, don't drop your guard Ealand, fight them all the way. Local houses for local people!!!

We've had enough - let Liz Redfern have some waste furnaces and a few wind farms in Epworth!! Sick of being NLC's dumping ground for unsightly infrastructure!

Our area is trying so hard to better itself and improve the lives of the local people. To open a waste site like this just as you enter the village is not only an eye sore and environmentally concerning for local people but it gives visitors the wrong impression about the area. Plus it will significantly reduce the prices of the houses of the people in Ealand. Something like this needs to be on an industrial estate out of the way and not in our village that is trying to hard to make itself more welcoming
