Premier Andrews, I agree wholeheartedly with this petition. The treatment of Faith Communities makes no sense at all. If people can gather in coffee shops, why can they not gather in churches? It appears – no this discrimination against all faith based religions. Places of worship are an ESSENTIAL part of live for many Victorians, as per the last census (2016) 58.1% of Victorians identified as religious, and hence you are ignoring their needs to worship – this is blatant discrimination. Places of worship need to be open NOW, as it is live blood for many faithful people, who go to pray, light a candle, worship, confession and take Holy Communion. This is a where the faithful find peace, get spiritual and mental support, by shutting them down you have contributed greatly to the suffering of many people, and are wholly responsible for those that have lost their lives due this lock down. If cafes and pubs can be open were the transmission of covid will be the greatest, then why can’t places of worship be open where tighter control is and the transmission will be zero. It has been mentioned that Daniel Andrews is a Catholic, but based on his actions this does not seem to be true, he’s more of a dictator, Marxist, Hitler combined into one, Hitler has been accused of sowing 'fundamental hostility to Christ and his Church' during the Great War (1939-1945) and now Daniel Andrews you are doing the same but at a larger scale you are sowing the seeds of 'fundamental hostility against ALL places of worship/religions’. As Christ had said “Lord forgive them for they know not what they are doing’. Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy. May Lord have mercy (Daniel Andrews) on his soul. People of faith should not be discriminated against.

Spiritual worship is a mainstay in my mental stability. I need to be able to worship God and receive the Eucharist.

I am greatly missing in person worship and teaching. It has been a big part of my life since I was born. I am so eager to gather and worship again with others who share my beliefs

Please allow us to enter our churches again. We can social distance easily, wear masks, and it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

The Church should be reopened for needs of spiritual lives

We missed our church service a lot. It's like meditation for us works well with mental health issues when we go to church and pray. May God help us in this difficult situation we are now.

Lets get Victoria on the move again.

Spiritual health is paramount to mental health & wellbeing. The Church needs to be accessible if cafes, schools, restaurants & beaches can be for various reasons. It is a place of worship & people need to vent out & explore their spiritual needs.

It's time Andrews wakes from his slumber and realises that only prayers will get us out of this predicament.
