There is plenty of space with 1.5 social distancing in the church it normally fits 600 people easily why can’t we sit every second row 3 people per bench 1.5 m apart and pray with the Lord

Premier Andrews,
I agree wholeheartedly with this petition. The treatment of Faith Communities makes no sense at all. If people can gather in coffee shops, why can they not gather in churches? It appears to me to be discrimination.

Why can’t we social distancing inside the House of God (1.5 m distance), with masks and hand hygiene, as in other places like supermarket. We go to Church to worship, unlike people come out to protest lockdown and have a fight with police.
We can easily get some Parish members to act like Police to keep things in order. So please open the House Of God, only once a week, 1-2 hours each Sunday. That is all we ask for.

Please reopen our churches. We managed very well with no danger to others in the past. No difference now. The churches should be the first to be open. Sadly priorities are back to front in this day and age.
