The city council continues to ignore our need for a dedicated space while they leave our youth with nowhere to go but the streets. I am tired of the runaround and the empty promises that lead nowhere. We are staying loud until they actually do something for once.

The city council can no longer ignore this groundswell of support for a proper skatepark. We have built enough momentum to force their hand and finally get these kids off the dangerous streets.

As many of you know, Our son is 5 years old and has Spina Bifida. He enjoys riding his wheelchair down the ramps at the skatepark. This is one sport he can actually participate in and he loves it so much! We hope Fairmont brings back the skatepark! Our entire family enjoys it. As our son wheelies and enjoys the ramps in his wheelchair, his daddy rides his skateboard, his baby brother rides his tricycle and mommy videos and gets pictures of our family fun!! (Not sure why this post shows us from NY, but we are indeed from Fairmont, WV)
Please build a skatepark in Fairmont WV, the skating community needs one to help us grow, skateboarding is just as active as any other sport, but way more fun! Yeah you can get.hurt from, but you can also get hurt ju t by walking around wether it be inside or outside. Fairmont needs a skatepark,, please.

I'm new to skating and I wouldn't like to go to Pittsburgh for it!

Open it back so kids have something to do with thair time. And not turn to drugs . Open your eyes and people. We have nothing to do .
