We the People wish to see fairness and common sense in the 2011 redistricting of Greece Town Wards.

We urge the Greece Town Board to respect neighborhoods and draw the new lines to group neighborhoods with similar concerns and interests together to the greatest extent possible. In this way, residents of each ward can elect representatives to Town Board who are better aligned with their interests.

We suggest that this would be best accomplished by use of a bi-partisan panel, or by contracting the task to a non-partisan entity such as the Center for Governmental Research. In this way the new lines will be  drawn to provide representation without regard to political affiliation.

I am honestly stunned by how many of you have stopped to lend your name to this. This momentum belongs entirely to the residents who care about the future of our town. It is truly humbling to see that so many others share this same hope for fairness.

The current map makes zero sense for our community. Time to fix it and make it fair for everyone in Greece.

So tired of them gerrymandering everything. Just draw the lines normal for once.

Finally someone is pushing for a non-partisan review. Sick of the games they play with our districts.

Keep neighborhoods together. It is not that hard to understand.

Need more transparency in our local government. This is a good start.
