Rockbridge County Fairgrade petition
In light of the compelling data and evidence presented by the parents regarding Rockbridge County restrictive 6/7 pt grading policies, we urge that the school board adopt a 10 pt weighted grading scale
Adopt a 10 point scale, defined as:
90 - 100 = A
80 - 89 = B
70 - 79 = C
60 - 69 = D
59 - below = F
We believe these changes will encourage RCHS students to take more challenging courses and enable them to better compete for college admissions, honors programs, and merit scholarships as well as allow them to be eligible for good student discounts and NCAA sports.
Please include your County district such as Natural Bridge, Buffalo, Kerrs Creek, South River, Walkers Creek or City of Lexington

FAIRGRADE is a parent group whose research has demonstrated that current RCHS grading policies put students at a disadvantage with respect to college admissions, merit scholarships, honors programs, NCAA athletic eligibility, and car insurance "good-driver" discounts.
