While I understand how difficult it is to navigate the different requirements for safety, I do think with some additional input from parents and students and an analysis of what other schools have done, we can give our Seniors a better sendoff.

Seeing a lot of friends that are teachers or friends kids that graduated. Notre Dame of Fairfield did the best so far - 2 separate Graduations - the Graduate and 2 parents were seated together and all Grads had masks as well as the parents/guardians did. see if that can be done.

This should be a wonderful celebration for these boys and their families. There is a lot of sacrifice that goes into putting a child through a private high school education.

SJHS 2020 commencement was very well received by students and parents. Graduates were socially distanced and wore masks. Parents watched on jumbotrons from parking lot . This was a very acceptable compromise.

These young men have spent the past 4 years answering the call to become Men for others while enduring the disappointment of so many lost experiences in their senior year. Through it all they've consistently stepped up and been a credit to Prep and the community. Fairfield U is planning to welcome back over 5,000 students for the fall semester beginning August 24th - including full dorms. We need to do better for the class of 2020 - they've earned it.

So many larger HS have organized in person “safe” ceremonies. Such a disappointment for the students and their parents.

Why did Prep bother to postpone the graduation if this is the plan? More was to be expected when announced an in person graduation was to be held. Many other schools have figured out a creative, personable ceremony that could be followed. I hope Prep reconsiders and gives the boys the special graduation that they deserve.

Of course safety is of primary concern, but with the many intelligent and creative members of the Prep family, surely a solution can be created which celebrates this special time in the lives of students and their families. Prep can do better and be better.

I sincerely hope the administration reconsiders this graduation plan. I understand that the students health and safety are paramount but there has to be a better solution, even with state and Fairfield University regulations, than waiting two months for a plan that could have taken place back in May. Other schools have figured it out, so can Prep!

Please consider giving our young men the graduation they deserve. With some creativity, the proper state guidelines can be followed. This could be accomplished by splitting the graduating class into two groups and limiting the number of guests. Prep needs to go the extra mile for their graduates. Thank you

Very disappointed! We think that Prep can come up with a much better plan for these boys! All dressed up with no place to go- sad. Think that there should have been some student/ parent input.

We need boys to be together more fully for the graduation. Consider using the field to socially distance them as at joes did.
