As a Fairfield Prep alumni and to see that St. Joseph's High School, our biggest nemesis for years, can figure out how to have an in-person graduation ceremony for their senior class and the Fairfield Prep administration can't?? WOW!! Unacceptable leadership!!

Prep has this huge beautiful campus. Thanks to air circulation, you can safely do a graduation ceremony with social distancing and masks outside. Its a once in a lifetime event and it can be done safely.

This is truly disappointing. The biggest mistake Prep is making is assuming that the purpose of this gathering is obvious- just a graduation... This is not just a graduation - this is gathering with a purpose to shape the way they send their graduates off into the world to achieve an individual or a collective purpose that gives meaning and pushes their lives forward in an uncertain time.
I hope Prep leadership will reconsider and hold a graduation that is a symbolic gathering worthy of the Prep. With so many socially distant graduation examples that represent “what good looks like” we have seen recently in Fairfield and the surrounding towns, the proposed graduation does not meet the Prep standard and will surely miss the mark.

The young men at Fairfield Prep deserve a “Socially Distance” in person graduation. Graduation is the highlight of the 4 year journey at Fairfield Prep.

With similar class sizes, both Fairfield public high schools were able to host an incredible graduation, together at the beach, drive in style. It was an incredible send off for the graduates. Prep students deserve one final moment together to say their good-byes and have closure to their time together. This can be done in a safe and memorable way that meets all health guidelines.

There are many brilliant minds in the Prep community. I do believe there is a better option available than a virtual graduation. Consider following suit with the public schools in town that created a great experience at the beach.

Completely disappointed in the leadership at Prep. After promising an in person graduation, to make this decision without input from parents or students is wrong. This option was ill conceived and poorly communicated. If other local schools can be creative and safely hold an in person graduation while social distancing, and in compliance with State of CT mandates, why can’t a school like Prep, who has ample means. All this the week after the Prep community donates over 1/2 a million dollars to the Annual Fund. Senior parents were duped! Give these young men the graduation that they earned and that their parents worked hard to pay for over 4 years of tuition.
