I, Matthew Osmond, am petitioning Burger King restaurants to pay their tomato pickers a decent wage. I am asking you to join me in boycotting Burger King until they agree to do so. As it stands, tomato pickers make 45 cents per 32-pound bucket of harvested tomatoes. This translates into approximately $56 a day for 11-12 hours of back-breaking labour. Burger Kings unfair treatment of field workers is nothing less than modern-day slavery and it must be stopped. We must help the people who cannot help themselves and advocate for fair wages. If you google \"Burger King and unfair wages paid to tomato pickers\" you\'ll get sites that offer current info.

I have been spending my nights reading the stories you all share here and they remind me exactly why this fight is worth the struggle. These workers deserve dignity instead of this impossible cycle of poverty. I am currently reaching out to labor organizers to map out our next steps.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels heavy because it confirms so many of us refuse to accept these conditions for the people picking our food. I am truly overwhelmed by the response to this struggle that has weighed on my conscience for so long. We are finally building the pressure needed to force a real conversation.

45 cents?? That is absolutely criminal. No one should be working that hard for practically nothing. I wont be eating at BK ever again.
