Regulating Northwestern Energy is the best idea. Since utilities were de-regulated the cost of keeping the lights on and the house warm is overwhelming and forces people to choose between eating or having heat and lights in many instances.

Mandatory utilities should have regulations in place so they are NOT profiting and only providing the service required to live.

My bill three months ago average 120.00, last month 200.00, this month over 400.00...obviously we know the public commission is bought and paid for by northeastern energy, nice to know our public officials are sitting cozy in their houses with padded pockets, board members of northwestern are drinking martinis on the beach as MT children and elderly are hopping they don't freeze to death literally.

My bill foubled. It not due to electric heat as we can't use our heaters in this house. I heat with wood. Nothing has changed from previous years and mine almost doubled. My power lines have been here for years. Dont see no truck bringing me power for half my bill every month. I'm not in Helena. This has hit the Bozeman area. So are my bills estimates and they say actual? There are two of us on Oxygen and another in a wheel chair. I'm fighting for disability. We can't afford this. And they keep threatning to fisconnect. So we do without to try snd mske paents. This is wrong snd very unfair. Something needs to be done!!!

I now live in oregon but continue to have a home in montana. Noone lives in my home in the winter. No doors opened or closed no constant use of refrig.or other appliances. Last month my bil shot up. Triple what it gad been. I expected a slight increase. But this is rediculous. There needs to be a vlass action law suit against this company

NWE should read meters and get actual reading not use estimates. They should credit customers for the difference.

Was shocked to see my bill go from averaging $70.00-78.00 jump up over $100.00 didn't use any more or less power. Should be recalculated on actual use. Discovered problem. Make it right!!!!!!

Lower our heat bills. I'm on disability and almost half goes to heat. Can't buy food. Horrible.

The prices become inhumane when people who cannot afford to pay have their electricity forcibly "shut off". We are very conservative and dress warmly and keep the heat down. It's been quite uncomfortable at times. Should any of us really have to live in these conditions where we choose between buying food and buying heat? How can NW Energy continue with that on their conscience?

My electric bill has been about the same. Our landlord pays our heat. But I'm on board cause I know alot of people have been a victim of this.
