Northwestern Energy has raised rates on consumers, complained about the taxes it has to pay Montana, and now has charged Montanains for a mistake they are at fault for. They just raised rates 10 percent this year between gas and electric.

this estimating your monthly usage has got to stop, what wrong with reading meters, our business meter has not been covered with snow at all in deer lodge so, I think a nice refund is in order here, I think 2 months free is a great idea.

My bill for 2 months of just electricity is $408 and another $196 for our gas bill... I try my hardest to keep the heat set to 68° and turn the lights off when they're not in use but my bills are still outrageous... It's really hard to make a living nowadays...

Northwestern energy should not be allowed to "estimate usage" and charge a ridiculous amount of money based on last years bills! My family and I moved into our house 6 months ago and we have taken every measure to lower our electric bill. Our bill has been significantly lower than the previous owners of our house. Just recently our bill skyrocketed to an unprecedented amount that our family is now obligated to pay, with uncertainty on how we can even afford to pay! We've been borderline freezing in our house just to keep costs down. It is completely unethical and unacceptable to charge based on last years usage. This should be criticized as criminal behavior. This company needs competition to drive down costs. They do this to thousands of family's knowing that they can get away with it. This train of thought has to end!.

Although i do not live in any of the towns listed, my bill went from $45.00 a month to $207.00, now this is quite a jump and then northwestern energy employees want to get rude on the phone when we call and ask questions. this kind of a hike is one i cannot afford.

I have a wood burning stove and used more wood but not more power to heat the house than any other winter. My bill was at least double of the highest bill I have had in this house and I have lived here for 5 years.

Comfort billing up 600 plus a year with one less child in the home. Had NWE do there inspection they recommended turning my fridge up a couple degrees. Comfort billing well not so comfortable anymore.
