Northwestern Energy has been ripping Montana customers off for years. They always claim a malfunction of something to try and cover thir over charging.
They need to be stopped from ripping off people.
Northwestern Energy are low life liars.

My bill was more than any bill I have ever had. I have spoken with others here in Ryegate that have said the same thing.

My bill is so high im having to seek help to pay it. I compared last year to this year and on my bill and it is unbelievabley higher than last. $300 for one month.. give me a break!!! I've unpluged every appliance in my house that isn't being used!! My daughter downstairs sleeps with a hooded sweatshirt and pants because We won't let her use space heater!! We have been having financial hardship for the past several months due to shutting out business down and though I'm thankful for energy share helping me several months ago my $250-$277 past bills I haven't been able to pay has caused me have a balance that is making it impossible to pay any other bills!

We need the ability to afford to stay warm. Whether that be by given a choice of providers, or to regulate price gouging.

I find it just aweful the high bills..I can see it going up with the cold some, but I use wood heat so my furnace hasnt been on and my bill over doubled

I have three electric meters, two of which are near one another. On one of them I have hage little increase (just what I figured it would be for the colder winter, on the other my bill has gone from a winter average of $200 to over $500 for the last 2 months. This is more than a meter reading issue,

The prices for the last two months have been rediculous. If they go up more many people will not be able to pay their bills.

Would really like to see affordable options for alternate energy sources to augment the current single source of utilities in our area.

$400 bill and $280 of it was delivery charge. We do not have gas in any format. Why is there a delivery charge for electricity anyways? Also, they have a monopoly in multiple cities and this needs to be addressed too

My bill was over $400. Normally it is about half that. This was upsetting, to say the least.

I think there needs to be more competition. It's not right that they can just raise rates to pay for their property taxes and other things they deem necessary. The commission needs to do better for the people and we need more competition for NW Energy!

I have had nothing but problems with northwestern energy. When I call about an issue I get a different answer every time. My bills just keep getting higher and higher in the same home for years. My Dec bill was 700 and my Jan bill was almost 900. They claim I must be doing something different. No I'm not! Their budget billing program is a joke. Tell me how I pay my budget bill end up with a credit on the top of my bill and a balance owed at the bottom under budget billing??? They then recalculated my budget bill for the year and used my credit as if it were a balance owed then uped my budget bill!!! Then told me it works against me to have a credit. They said not to make a payment and use up my credit. So the next month I didn't pay so they subtracted the bill from my credit and added it to my budget bill amount!!! I'm fed up with this company they must be regulated and audited for scams. When my elect bill is as height as my mortgage I'm having to get a second job just to take care of my family. I have big sky gas and their rates are great but northwestern still charges a delivery fee many times more than my supply. In the summer when my gas bill was zero I was still charged a delivery fee from northwestern. This has got to stop!!!
