My bill for January 2017 is stating that my electric usage (in kWh)is double of what it was January 2016. No freaking way is this correct, nor are they going by "what is was the prior year." My January bill blew up to $414 and it's still over $300 for February. I will be giving them a lovely call...total bs

I just want this done with we shouldn't be paying no 420 a month. I make it a thing to make sure all lights are off and heat is down! They are ripping everyone off!!

Why is it that we have to pay someone else's taxes, when we have to pay our own! Montana better start waking up and smell the coffee... people are not in the dark as some may think.

As a Public Service Commissioner in the state, I wanted to reach out and thank the people who have commented on NorthWestern Energy's rates. If you think you have been incorrectly billed, you can call the PSC's consumer assistance hotline: (800) 646-6150. The PSC also encourages those commenting to take an active interest in legislation currently being considered at the 2017 legislative session -- specifically HB 189 and HB 193, both of which would add consumer protections. You can contact legislators by using this online form (identify the bill number and select the "House Energy & Technology" committee for HB 189; the "Senate Energy and Telecommunications" committee for HB 193) http://leg.mt.gov/css/Sessions/65th/legwebmessage.asp The PSC has also released this morning a statement clarifying a couple of inaccurate statements that NorthWestern has made. You can find that statement here, and if you follow the link you can find information about how to contact legislators: http://psc.mt.gov/news/pr/2017pr/Clarifying%20NWE%20statement%20021617.pdf -Commissioner Travis Kavulla, District #1 (covering Great Falls, Havre, Lewistown, the Hi Line, and northcentral/northeastern Montana) 406-444-6166 (my direct line)

Tired of utilities being so high especially when it isn't our fault! Charge us fairly for what we use not for what YOU think we use!!
