I support fair utilities. This is out of hand. Something needs to be done!

My house got hit in September, including the power loop box and pole the hole thing was laying on the ground. Live wires had been capped and everything . Nothing was hooked up to power. They still tried to charge me almost 200 dollars. I called mad as hell and they told me that they'd have to have there adjusters look into it. They did end up dropping the bill completely but really.

I live with a disability and it helps my muscles to keep them warm. Living on SSDI as my only source of income only allows me to keep the heat thermometer set at 60° or 62° Because of the rate hike I can no longer keep my thermostat at 70° Which is the inside temp that is a most therapeutic for my disability/condition.

In the month of January I used 2 water tank heaters and 1 60 watt bulb for my horse's and chickens, I have done this for 6 years last month I turned them off witch means I'm using the same electricity as I use in the summer months and my bill tripled. Please explain to me how that works? Personally I think it's BS and North Western Electric would have its customers pay for the personal toilet paper if they thought they could get away with it. I believe that some good competition might put things back in its place.

Northwestern Energy should not be able to charge customers fees for their property taxes. They also need to be regulated on how much they are charging customers l.

My boyfriend and I recently got a place together and with a kid on the way we figured if we cut down on how much electricity we used we could cut down that bill and put aside more money for the baby. So all of January we kept the temp at 69 or lower and used as little as possible instead our bill jumped up an extra $150.

My last energy bill was 3.5x higher than average! When I called NWE they told me it was based on an estimated usage and that by LAW they are only REQUIRED to get one actual reading a year!!! Preposterous! Highway robbery.

Taxes for property are deductible for state as well as federal returns as a cost of doing business. Double dipping is unfair to the consumer our house of reps ought to have more consideration for the constituents of montana and the responsibility for our people!
