Ya , burn wood , no internet, energy efficient light bulbs so they say , and an outrageous utility bill , and then Vigilante is sometimes a third the cost of northwest which which supplies Vigilante , what's wrong with this picture?

Our bills have almost tippled, and this is only electricity. No gas or Propane. Our most recient bill just came in the mil today & it is almost $500, as was our previous bill. Soc. Sec. pays once per month, and my husband only gets $886 per month. The elec. bill is more than half of Soc. Sec. and simply outrageous. We cannot get assistance of any kind, because we own our home. This kind of treatment should be a crime.

Please make Northwestern Energy more transparent in their rates, and make it so that the PSC has to approve ALL rate changes, including passing tax increases forward.

This is not ok! I do not support complete control of the market by one monopoly. The State needs to regulate better

I love in Dillon. Wasn't even home for two weeks, Bill still doubled in January and even more in February. An audit or actual use is needed. Averaging will not work for me, as I will be moving soon.

I feel as if we, the customers, are at the mercy of this corporation. Northwestern Energy basically has a monopoly in this market. A necessity to Montana residents, especially in the winter. To charge the amounts that are being charged, these "delivery" rates, for something families don't have a choice BUT to use, is shameful. No other increase, in a market that is needed for daily living, leaves you completely out of options like this does. If gas prices rise, you have the option of paying the increase, using public transportation, cycling, walking... you have alternatives. If groceries go up, you pick and choose according to your budget.
What options are available to Montanans in this situation? None.
And the fact that all these increases coincide with that shiny new building being built in uptown Butte is something to think about.

My power bill went up significantly last month. Funny thing...my house was vacant with the heat turned down to 55 as we were in the process of selling it. I wonder how that works.

Your poor business decisions should not be shouldered by the people using your product. My Mom is on a fixed income and cannot afford her electric bill almost doubling for no reason. How can you sleep at night?

Our power bill was 420 dollars. I have my heater set to run at 65 no major fluctuations from what we had it set at last year. My husband also climbed on the roof after Christmas and cleaned off our 11 giant solar panels yet some how our bill tripled from what it was January of 2017.

Our bill has also trippled over the last two months. At the very least they should have informed everyone of an upcoming rate increase instead of everyone getting sticker shock opening their bill. Absolutely unethicle business practice. They need to readjust all bills and provide refunds.

There is obviously a problem here. There needs to be reasonable limits set.
