We haven't paid utilities in over a year since our last place was utilities included. So how can they base my underbilled usage off that. Outrageous!!

I tired of prices going up on things the government have better control on they don't pay us more for all the hard working american people but they love to raise prices towards utilities, gas, food, and so forth its old just saying sure my thoughts won't count but least I gave them and took a stand

I read that they have increased 111% which is outrageous they have a monopoly in the power industry and need to be regulated

I went from $160 with 3 ac units to $425 with the thermostat set at 55!!!! We barely make it with full time work and 3 kids, cant afford an extra 300 bucks a month!

My hopes for this petition are that NW Energy will come clean and stop overcharging their customers for a plan that the PSC did NOT agree to. It seems that the company we have all trusted for so long and a company that has monopolized Montana energy services is FORCING customers to purchase their energy during increased energy cost periods when customers are not aware of this increase and/or do NOT agree with the increase in cost.
If cost is directly linked to decrease in temperature, as I have been told so many times by NW Energy Customer Reps; the coldest month was shown to be December by about 16 degrees and was half of the billing cost of January billing period, which was far warmer than the month of December.
This does NOT add up.

Light bill went up almost $90 for December January and February. Not happy with this at all!!!!

My bill was doubled. When I called them they said that "It was an actual meter reading" and that "The lines were requiring more to be heated", whatever that's supposed to mean!

We already pay taxes, we should not have our utility rates jacked up so that we pay NWE's taxes too. Please apply more stringent regulations to these "regulated monopolies".

Fair rates for the residents of Montana . We wonder why our children leave the state and not come back . For one they can not afford it due to corporate greed , errors in projected billing and passing it on to consumers . It adds up over time . Who would want to come home when we keep getting taken advantage of .

On another note,
Cities and counties forbidding or limiting people from using wood-burning stoves is also oppression!
You can not infringe on people trying to survive! Commissioners: Heed the warning.
Missoula has been disallowing wood-burning stoves.
Helena has been limiting & threatening to extend to neighboring counties even.
Not sure of other MT locations.
Folks, if we remain quiet, they will continue. Speak up!

Last 2 bills were Triple!! (From previous winter) Over $300 for electricity only for 940 sq ft.
Just got a new bill and it's still Double!!
We have electricity only (Propane for heat).
This is outrageous!! Makes us want to disconnect their services, for sure. Camp stove, lights, etc.
If we all did such, can you imagine the impact!! They may adjust then...
But for now, "So...." < they're obviously not going to change their ways. They don't have to...
