My power bill skyrocketed as well, I'm not sure how to pay it.

Northwestern Energy are crooks.

Ours more tan doubled!

My electric bill was extremely higher this last month than our normal prices have ever been.

Thank you for putting this petition together. Its important that, we the people, stand up to monopolies when they start to take advantage.

Signing this petition cause it's ridiculous that I only have a wood stove for heat and my power bill more than doubled.

Thanks for starting this petition. I am very unsatisfied with Northwestern Energy. It angers me to think that they are trying to rip off their own customers, when we don't even have a choice on what power company we want to use. My family and I live in the Norris area. Our power bill doubled and we use our wood stove as our main source of heat. We don't have natural gas on our property at all (thank God). And 90% of the time I have the breaker to the furnace switched off. This is an Outrage!!

We should not have to pay northwestern energy's property taxes and there should be a way to stop them from increasing prices to the point that people can not afford it.

Price gouging is unacceptable for utility companies...it's bad enough we must deal with from the cellular phone services, but as the sole provider of electric service in Cascade County it is a crime against humanity. You should be ashamed.

This automatic increase for their payment of property tax should not be allowed. Taxes should be paid out of what they already receive. Maybe do away with bonus and you would have your tax payment and not have to put all ypur customers into a debt downward spiral.

I've never had a bill exceed $200. Last month was $265. We get these cold spells every year in Montana, and never has it caused my bill to be so high.

Budget billing increased as well. 30 dollars per month..this is ridiculous

Lower our damn bills back down your making the little people struggle to make ends meet for our familes

We're expected to do our own energy audits on our homes, spend outrageous amounts of money on energy-efficient appliances, windows, doors, lighting, furnaces, water heaters, etc and expected to maintain them, including the meters that are owned by NWE. Ok. Check. Done, all at our own expense. We're conserving. What does NWE do? Rob us blind with their failed business mistakes (those dams, remember we'll be paying for that mistake for years), bogus rate/delivery rate increases every other month, their mistakes in estimating rates and lying/giving bogus excuses to complaining customers, and now they want consumers to pay their taxes? Demand an audit of NWE, including bonuses for administrators, CEO's and stockholders, business filings, etc. Why shouldn't the public expect an audit of a company STEALING from their customers? Better yet, why not a class action lawsuit? NWE, you need to plan now for millions in refunds to hardworking Montanans who've faithfully paid for....YOUR THEFT.

We are retired and our utilities are WAY too expensive!!

My bill has increased.

My electric bill has more than tripled. Absolutely unreasonable for a single income with dependents.

I expect higher bill in the winter but our doubled from one month to the next with no warning. This is unacceptable and something should be done.

Our bill jumped drastically and when you are budgeting and have NO notice of a bill going from 180 a month to almost 400 can really do some damage to a persons budget!!!
