i live in billings mt with 5 kids wife and a old man over the age of 60 and my bill in the harshest winter we have had and my bill at the peak has been 171.00 this month i recived a almost 400.00 bill with a 1st discanection notice over 100.00 past due we give what we can every month with rent we are in threat of loosing our place i have contacted NWE and there payment plans are a joke and unrealistic they have no compation whats so ever for familys or the disabled when they can meat there requirements. your a number to them nothing more. tell you what NWE you take our pay we give you our bill see if you can survive with out power and i will give you the same thing i was told at your front office "there is always the shelter" and the hoops we have to jump though just to get though the winter just to have it shut off on or the next day of the dead line "NWE there are 100s and even 1000s of peaple that dont have your deep pockets" every one that reads this we have no other outlets for power they have the power over us we need to stand up and make this right if not for us then for our kids and according to NWE staff local in billings mt watch out shelters hope you have room for all they shut off

We expected our bill to go up because of the cold weather, but not up over $300. We're on a fixed income and it's hard to deal with something unexpected like this.

I feel that it's concerning how high the bills will get while we wait for a answer and a change for the better. It's hard for everyone in the winter especially since how cold it has been also the storms that we have gotten has been fast and and we have a lot of snow.

We live paycheck to paycheck as it is and with this rate increase there is no way we can afford our utilities. We use primarily wood to heat our house in the winter and there should be no reason that our bill has more than doubled.

How is this monopoly okay? Northwest energy is Bozeman's only option for power and they are abusing that. But they do not care that some people stress about having power or feeding their children....UNFAIR!!

It's terrible when my power bill is more then my house payment. I work a full time job and have 3 kids to support and after I pay the power bill this month there isn't even enough left to make my monthly payment let alone put food on the table.

I keep my house at 65 degrees and use LED and CFL bulbs. My electric bill has doubled in the last couple months. Not cool.
