Across all sectors not just statutory - the work NGO's are doing is exemplary and necessary but their pay is abysmal. They are not aligned to any scale and do not receive any incremental pay rise.

It is so important that these people are paid well, because the job that they do can be essential.

I am a third yr Social Care student in Tallaght IT. I feel that until a fair wage scale is agreed we should refuse to register with Coru when it comes into action.

It's absolutely soul destroying to do four years in college, struggle to get a job and then secure a job but be paid less than people working in supermarkets! How is this fair with the level of stress that's involved. I for one can honestly say I'll be burnt out in no time and that's years of college wasted. Companies take advantage because they can and its not right.

I feel the standard of pay we receive is degrading for the dedicated service we provide to our clients.

Definitely deserve the recognition that is deserved. We go to college for long enough to be treated with respect and a bit more decent pay
