CSU needs to pay a living wage to these folks. They play a much more important role in the mission of our University than 24 coaches, graduate assistants and Directors of the CSU football program. The salary of the head coach is $1.8M and he distributes $3M to the salaries of his staff. On top of that, CSU is paying $500K to the long-since fired abusive basketball coach in 2019. The priorities of CSU are meant to be teaching, research and service. The NTTF contribute enormously to the teaching mission of CSU and deserve to be compensated fairly.

I am a Ph.D. holder and have been working at CSU 18,5 years. Being in PERA 20 years I earned pension on which it is impossible to live.

It is time for all universities to treat their professors like the professionals they are. They deserve a living wage. Instead of investing in administration compensation and football stadiums pay the professors. That is why our students are attending college- for a first rate education.

An educational institution should NOT be treated as a for-profit corporation. I am paying insane amounts of money to be going to this school and to get an education that would not be possible without my professors, and it is not okay that my money isn't being reflected in anything that actually matters (like paying reasonable and livable salaries for professors). Do not take advantage of the willingness of our professors to accept a lower-than-should be salary in order to continue serving the students and allowing for our learning and growth above their own livelihoods.

CSU is a school. Education should be the priority. That means educators should be the priority. Right now, I feel like I am treated like a consumer rather than a student, like CSU is a corporation rather than an institute of higher learning, and like my education is secondary to my CSU “experience.” I value my instructors so much more than I can ever value “free” consumer goods or publicity stunts.

Most of my best instructors have been non-tenured. If we have the money for new stadiums and multiple new buildings, we surely have enough to support the best instructors on campus.

As a tenured full professor, I feel safe and secure with job security...yet I'm one of the privileged while NTTF are not so privileged who support those students who pay my salary.... its time for fair pay across the board.
