All CSU faculty and staff deserve fair compensation for their work and livable wages.
The steady increase in Fort Collins cost of living must be taken into account when considering our faculty and staff wages.

We have waited long enough for salary equity. In the meantime, the cost of living in Northern Colorado has continued to rise. Our students deserve to know that their always-increasing tuition funds instruction directly and equitably. We cannot say that is true today.

Being able to live on the income we're paid would be wonderful. My family currently has to use food stamps/bank and Medicaid. $10,900 is more than twice what I am paid per course currently.

There are many ways that teachers have helped shape my life. This is in support of those who are struggling to afford the Fort Collins life so they can continue to help others!

CSU's highly educated, qualified and dedicated NTT faculty deserve better. CSU's Committee on Non Tenure Track Faculty proposed, in 2016, a set of reforms that included "securing significant salary increase for long-term NTT academic faculty members." Now that we have new titles, procedures and protections codified, it's time for those wage increases to be implemented.

They are the lifeline of why CSU exists! Pease pay these incredible community members a living salary for all they do to help the school be successful and grow. Schools needs to evaluate cost of living better and help their staff with balancing the cost to live here. They are not asking for anything that is out of the norm for a living wage for the time they put into their students and in turn the school. Plus they are well educated, highly talented and hard working people that love what they do.

A teacher working 3 jobs, serving 7 committees benefitting CSU’s campus and students should not be struggling to afford living in the community that they spend their entire time contributing to and enriching.

The lack of a livable salary as a NTTF at CSU was the reason I decided to leave. Had the salary been reasonable, I may not have worked myself into life-threatening health problems because of my lack of time to rest while teaching. I don't know how NTTF have taught more courses than I did and have done so for a long time. I don't know how they stay afloat at all.
Had CSU been a more welcoming place to NTTF, and not see them as lesser than tenure/track faculty. Better pay would have helped me feel part of the community. As is, I left CSU and I left teaching because I saw clearly how poorly NTTF were treated there, and had no hope for other places. Had I known that places like UC Boulder have reasonable salaries, I may have continued there.
Treat your NTTF right, because they are the bedrock on which much of your university lies. CSU's reputation in my eyes was fully tarnished because of my experience as NTTF. Treating them like living beings needing to sustain themselves, especially regarding salary, would greatly improve the quality of teaching and community of CSU.

Without your instructors, you have no college. Pay them what they deserve.
