Fair Pay for Faculty at Colorado State University

Fair remuneration is a modest demand and the university should find a way to meet it.

I hope the university will address this issue soon.

Salary is dignity! All faculty, specially TTs, need to get behind this issue and stand the ground for our colleagues.

Even before they graduate, our students earn more money than we do with an experience of 10 and 20 years in academe! And if you'll look closely, most of us are mothers (sometimes fathers) with 2-4 children, many times coming from unprivileged homes, and just can't break through the white, competitive glass ceiling. For years we did not have a voice to make a change. Do we have now? Fair wage resonates with much more complicated issues of the current academic environment than just money

It's embarrassing that with all the language and issues connected to "inclusion" when it comes to supporting our NTT faculty the support is limited to " they do a great job", "they are very important for our programs" but at the end they need to pay the bills with nice words to ridiculous salary increases and job insecurity.

It is fundamental to improve the pay for the non-tenured instructors. There are many very valuable people working and doing fantastic jobs - they need to be supported, valued and paid what they very much deserve.

I strongly support the raising of salaries for Non-Tenure Track Faculty at CSU. NTTF are highly trained and skilled individuals who provide critical instruction to our students. They deserve to be compensated for their work at at level that will insure a middle-class income matching the region's cost of living.

We're so tired of the current situation. Please, CSU, do the right thing by your employees. We care deeply about our students and we also need fair pay.

Its breaks my heart to have just accepted a teaching position elsewhere because I can no longer afford to live in Fort Collins at what CSU has been paying me.

These teachers created a lasting impact on me while i pursued my undergraduate eduacation. Without the effort and attitude these teachers brought to the classroom I would not have valued my time at Colorado State University as much as I have.

Signing for my favorite professors, who have made an incredible impact on my life. They shouldn't have to suffer financially to do the amazing work they do, especially when the cost of tuition is so high.

This needs to change. The current situation is blatant exploitation of non-tenured instructors.

Important -- our education community is also behind the economic power of our Ft Collins area. Find ways of balancing excess and deficit budgets between departments.

I am so saddened that a University such as CSU has not been in tune with keeping the wages of our University workers up to a fair living wage here in Ft. Collins! The amount of effort these people put into helping students and giving CSU the kind of institution they are known for is appalling to me as a former employee myself!

Faculty are what make a school functional, and not just tenured research-doing professors. CSU needs to devote more of it's resources to it's actual reason for existing: Education, a little less to athletics and research.

100% support fairer wages!

I hope that if CSU NTTF achieve this goal they will also work to improve the pay and working conditions for their counterparts in the Colorado community college system. Those NTTF faculty members make even less than CSU.

Needs to happen!

Instructors put their hearts and souls into teaching and deserve better pay.
