Fr. John Duffy is such dedicated priest. The truth always come out. As supporter of Fr. John Duffy, we just want justice. We will continue to pray for him. He was nicest priest you could ever meet.

This petition was started by a handful of lay persons who want to help Fr. John Duffy when the very people/organization who should be helping him has turned their backs against him. We just can’t stand by while a good priest’s character is destroyed.
We want our priest back and if the diocese won’t let him back, then the diocese owe US - the sheep - an explanation as to why their SHEPHERD has been slaughtered.
Though surely deeply grateful for this, Fr. John DID NOT ASK that this petition be done. The immediate and sheer number of positive responses to this petition is testament enough as to how Fr. John faithfully served the Church and touched the lives of many.

The Church should support its priests and good servants, especially when they have not committed a public crime. Is this about diocesan authority or about helping someone in need?

It sounds like Mr O'connor aka Anonymous are one and the same person and having a conversation with themself. To meet this seems like a personality disorder. Perhaps Mr. O'Connor should seek some medical help. The other alternative is that he has hit a new desperate low point in trying to convince himself. Mr. O'Connor I suggest your check into an institution or do as Judas did when he could not live with his own guilt. Also don't hate the support our beloved Fr. Duffy is receiving if you can't live to see that stop visiting this page you looser. I strongly favour the Judas option however.

Dear Anonymous, I agree ,that is what this pastor should do, as well, share the details of the litigation results from the Archdiocese. His claims are quite vague. What I know is that people break down, even priests and they may not be able to see that they need help. Is this the case here? I'm not involved in this, just sharing an opinion. It seems he is a nice man. Maybe someone from Sacred Heart will take you advice.

Father John Duffy is very supportive, compassionate and dedicated to his calling..I consider him as my spiritual father and not only me, but for the Filipino community in Uxbridge.. He genuinely welcomed us (Filipinos) with his kindness and let us feel that Uxbridge can be our second home since we are away from our family back home and through this he is one of the instruments whom God used to get us closer to God & strengthen our faith.we love u father John...

Saddened by this outrageous action of the Archdiocese without even listing the names of the accusers. This only happens in a 3rd world country where only the rich & famous are powerful. Canada is far better than any country in the world, yet this is happening in a Roman Catholic Church where the faithful are supposed to be honest & kind.

This is in response to Anonymous (Aug. 22):
The parishioners who have spread the malicious rumors about Father John are the ones who have made "claims without proof!" If there is proof, where is it?! Why don't they speak up?! THAT is what is missing! Cardinal Collins doesn't have ANY proof about ANY accusations made against Father John because there is none, and yet he had no problem casting him aside and allowing a few people destroy his good name. Cardinal Collins wanted to muzzle Father John but that didn't work. Cardinal Collins will also have the same judgment day as everyone else. Let us pray for Cardinal Collins and may God forgive him and those who have slandered Father John's good name.
Keep up the fight Father John. May God continue to bless you and forgive those who persecute you. The truth ALWAYS comes out.

The last anonymous posting is from Mr. O.'Connor....yes...the Mr. O'Connor who posted several times already. Why are you hiding and what is your motive? In his posting he states "I've read through this final sermon from this priest". You sound like a very vindictive man pretending to be holier than Thou....you are a wolf in sheeps clothing and a coward for not disclosing your name.

Dear Friends: I agree. We are only going with one side of the story. Why has Father John Duffy, by his own admission, kept this a secret for two years given the seriousness of his allegations of wrongdoing by the Archdiocese? Before we give money over to Father Duffy who "desperately needs our financial and spiritual support" can you please make all your records available, especially ALL communication between you and the Archdiocese? Can you also confirm whether you are still on payroll with the Archdiocese? Please make ALL your records available to a committee of five parishioners from Sacred Heart for their open viewing? The five parishioners can be of your choosing. These supporting documents will surely come out as critical evidence supporting your case when this goes to trial, so why not make them publicly available now? Please and thanks! God Bless each and every one of us in our search for understanding. In the name of the Father who created us, the Son who redeems us, and the Spirit who sets us free. AMEN

I've read through this final sermon from this priest. I'm somewhat confused as the reason for all of this as it is only his side of the story and yet we have become comfortable with casting judgements against people as well as Cardinal Collins. We have no information from this former pastor, other than making claims without the proof. Something is missing here!
This is what our society has become.
I won't support something if I don't know all the facts.
I believe that our good and just Lords will, will be done....has His will already been done???
Let us all pray,
Eternal Father, creator of all things, we reverence Your continued grace and presence in the priesthood of Your only begotten Son, now shared by Him with men. In the weakness which You know, some of those called to participate in the priesthood of the eternal high priest have fallen from the heights to which they were summoned. Do not, we beg You, cast them forever from Your sight. Be mindful, rather, of their hearts as they were touched by Your grace in the beginnings of their priesthood. Restore to them by a flood of Your grace that generosity which they knew in life's morning. Amen.

Fr. John stay strong and true in your faith because the only one who matters...already knows. He was also a gentle, loving and forgiving man, who was falsely accused and later slaughtered. All because a few, seemingly caring men, fell, due to the sins of envy, greed and whatever else they permitted satan to dirty in their small minds. I will continue to pray for you and I will also ask God to join my prayers to yours, as you pray for your persecutors. May God bless you and carry you in his arms during this most difficult of times and may our Blessed Mother hurry to bring faith, love and peace into the hearts and minds of all people in the whole world, but especially quickly, to those who do satan's work under the guise of concerned and wise persons. As you read the messages from people who care about you, allow God to strengthen you in mind, body and soul. And when you read messages from people who don't know how to care, simply pray to God to bring love into their lives and to forgive them, for they know not what they do!
