Fr Duffy, is a wonderful priest and a great example of our faith.
It is very sad that the very covenant he believed in has treated him so harshly.
Father you are in our thoughts and prayers.

It really is outrageous that a priest in good standing can be put down by slander without the archdiocese giving him support and standing behind him. Did Fr. Duffy even get a hearing? Has there been an investigation? Being secretive in favour of transparency does more harm to the Church and to the faithful. The devil is indeed working overtime.

It is strange that about 7 to 8 men ( some of whom were priests) who were great transmitters of the Faith were brought down in the Archdiocese of Toronto. I really would like to understand why this happened.

Everyone has a canonical right to their good name:
Code of Canon Law
Can. 220 No one is permitted to harm illegitimately the good reputation which a person possesses nor to injure the right of any person to protect his or her own privacy.
Can. 221 §1. The Christian faithful can legitimately vindicate and defend the rights which they possess in the Church in the competent ecclesiastical forum according to the norm of law.
§2. If they are summoned to a trial by a competent authority, the Christian faithful also have the right to be judged according to the prescripts of the law applied with equity.
§3. The Christian faithful have the right not to be punished with canonical penalties except according to the norm of law.

The Archdiocese of Toronto must stand up like true followers of Christ, apologize to Fr John and clear his good name. If they do not apologize and clear his good name then I ask, "Who are they following?"

It is disheartening to see that the Archdiocese has treated our beloved priest this way.
They have washed their hands like Pontius Pilate and is allowing the work of the evil one to bring division within our parish. THIS IS WRONG!
We need to make some noise.
We cannot let Father Duffy be thrown under the bus.
He has dedicated his life to Christ the Church and his parishioners.
Justice must prevail!
