Fr. Mike....thank you for speaking up on behalf of Fr. Duffy who was a hard working dedicated priest. I urge other priest in the Archdiocese of Toronto to find their voice and come forward to support Fr. Duffy. This past week a parishioner from Sacred Heart Parish received a letter from the Archdiocese of Toronto stating that "Fr. Duffy retired because of ill health" ......which is certainly not the case; the truth is Fr. Duffy was suspended by the Archdiocese of Toronto without cause and in an unchristian like manner. We need to stand up for this brave priest who was not afraid to stand up for others.

I was horrified as the majority of the parishioners were, the day F Duffy told us the news of his suspension. I never thought the silliness that went on would end up in this catastrophe. A misunderstanding that was blown out of proportion, that just needed an airing to be cleared out. But the devil works his wonders (as he did in P. Pio's life (as mentioned earlier), so we need to stand up for what is right & ask the Church to look into this properly and correct the error. I am so thankful that there are so many souls that have taken the time to stand up for what is black & white rather than grey, signed the petition and wrote on behalf of F Duffy.

It is a sad day when the church who teaches us to turn the other cheek, fails one of their own.
We have all experienced a wrong to a good man.
thank you so much for being real and helping us in our time of need.
Thanks Fr Duffy

It is, indeed, a very sad day that the inconceivable, persecuting one’s parish priest, happens. In God’s own words, “Never attack a priest even when he is in error, but rather pray for him. Whoever voices judgement over a priest, has voiced it over me..” And, “...I myself will be the judge, NO ONE BUT I”.
Fr. Duffy, please know that we are praying for you. I have put you in the hands of Our Lady; please trust in her, and keep strong.
